Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, inspected earlier today—before the weekly government meeting—a model of one of the new tourist buses, “Tourist Bus,” from the fleet of Misr Travel. This bus is produced by Al-Nasr Automotive Company, both of which are affiliated with the Ministry of Public Business Sector. The inspection took place in the presence of Engineer Mohammed Sheimi, Minister of Public Business Sector; Engineer Mohammed Al-Saadawi, CEO of the Holding Company for Metal Industries; and Dr. Khaled Shadid, CEO of Al-Nasr Automotive Company.

The Prime Minister praised the quality of manufacturing and the innovation in the design of the tourist bus, confirming that Al-Nasr Automotive Company is making significant strides in localizing automotive production in Egypt. He noted that this progress aligns with the Egyptian state’s strategy for developing the automotive industry and added that the Egyptian market is promising, offering numerous incentives that global automotive companies can capitalize on.

During his inspection of the tourist bus model, Dr. Madbouly inquired about the percentage of local content in the bus and the company’s capacity to produce larger quantities.

Engineer Mohammed Sheimi explained that the “Misr Travel” bus inspected today is one model among several tourist buses delivered to the companies “East Delta Transport and Tourism” and “West & Central Delta Transport and Tourism,” both affiliated with the Ministry of Transport. Al-Nasr Automotive Company produced these buses following its recent restart.

The minister added that the tourist bus incorporates a local content percentage exceeding 50%. This project is a key element of Al-Nasr Automotive Company’s broader production plan, including buses, passenger cars, electric minibusses, and light commercial vehicles. The company is focused on transferring modern technology, localizing supporting industries, increasing the local component, and providing comprehensive maintenance services.

He emphasized that this project is part of the ministry’s strategy to bolster local manufacturing and modernize tourist transportation, thereby enhancing the national economy and elevating the quality of services provided to both citizens and visitors. The initiative reflects the ministry’s vision for modernizing and developing its affiliated companies, reviving and growing assets to meet market demands, and enhancing the competitiveness of national companies. He described the collaboration between Misr Travel and Al-Nasr Automotive as a successful model of integration among the ministry’s entities to achieve sustainable development goals.

Furthermore, the minister stated that the new bus is a robust addition to the Misr Travel fleet, as it will improve the overall tourism experience and offer high-quality services that align with the company’s leading position in the tourism sector. He noted that these tourist buses are produced by Al-Nasr Automotive Company according to the latest global standards, combining the highest levels of safety, comfort, and luxury. The new design features a modern appearance and advanced equipment, including luxurious seating and integrated entertainment systems, to ensure an exceptional tourism experience.
