Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of the Public Business Sector, held a meeting with representatives of the Transportation Industry Division of the Engineering Industries Chamber of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, at the headquarters of El Nasr Automotive Industries Company, in the presence of Engineer Mohamed El Saadawy, Executive Managing Director of the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries, and Dr. Khaled Shedid, Managing Director of El Nasr Company.
The meeting comes within the framework of the state’s orientation to support and deepen the national industry, including the automotive industry and its feeding industries, and the directives of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, in this regard, and in continuation of the efforts of the Ministerial Group for Industrial Development headed by Lieutenant General Kamel El Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Transport. During the meeting, the mechanisms and opportunities for possible cooperation in the field of automotive industry were discussed and how to enhance joint work was discussed. Engineer Mohamed Shimi listened to the visions and proposals presented by the division’s representatives on ways to develop the automotive industry. Eng. Mohamed Shimi stressed that El Nasr Automotive Company is one of the important industrial strongholds and has a great name and a well-established trademark. We are keen to develop it and support it with modern technology and optimally exploit its assets, produce with high quality and increase the percentage of local components. He pointed out the rehabilitation and preparation of the company’s infrastructure for new production lines, explaining that there are many opportunities available for partnership with the private sector with the aim of cooperation and achieving integration in this industry, not competing with it.
